Five guys burgers and fries

My brother suggested to try this place and being the usual fat ass I am, I'm always down to try new places to pig out at, plus being a burger joint I figure you can't wrong.  Oh my,  from the minute I walked in and took a whiff of their food, I think I had a major nosegasm . I went with a classic double bacon cheeseburger and fries. The food is made to order and fresh.  I recommend ordering only a small order of fries though, unless you're with someone else to help you finish it off.  (no joke, the small order is pretty big!)  The taste of my burger was incredible, and even through my condiments, I could taste the freshness and quality I expect from a great burger. This is definitely on my top 5 list of burger joints I've been to so far and I recommend it to anyone that's in the mood for burgers  or looking for a new place to eat at. Highly recommended in my opinion and well worth the price for a delicious burger.

Paradise Hawaiian BBQ

Happy Aloha Friday.. Oh man,it's been a while since I've been back home in Hawaii, and aside from the great weather and the friendly people,I definitely miss the food. Hawaii is truly a major melting pot when it comes to the most diverse food all in one place. I have been to many places here in the mainland that advertise "Hawaiian style BBQ" and although many have come pretty damn close, this place I can say is so authentic that it feels like I was teleported back to Hawaii. The food here is a combination of Korean recipes and local Hawaiian BBQ flair and with authentic flavor. The menu has a vast amount of food that I'm very familiar with, such a wide selection especially if you're new to this type of eating, there's something for everyone on the menu. The prices are for the most part under $10 and by the portions I got, it was well worth it. I ordered the Paradise special ( meat jun,BBQ chicken,BBQ beef and kal-bi ribs) and I'm definitely stuffed and my belly is content. I'll be coming back again that's for sure ..I need a nap now haha zzzzz

Sweet daddy cupcakes

After a filling and delicious dinner, nothing would be more complete than something sweet to hit my sweet tooth cravings.  There was no way I was going to leave Arizona Mills with out stopping by one of my favorite dessert places in the mall; sweet daddy cupcakes!! With so many delicious and original flavors to choose from( salted sea caramel, German chocolate and strawberry lemonade just to name a few ) I chose banana foster with buttercream frosting and caramel.. No complaints here whatsoever so.  Sweet but not too rich and full of flavor and light but not overbearing. I know my sweet tooth cravings was met tonight lol it's located in area 1 across from sports authority and near DQ in the Arizona mills mall

Garcia's Mexican restaurant

So I've been out and about with the ohana (family ) doing a bit of shopping since it's my day off and once again I'm back at Arizona Mills checking out all the sales they have going on and trust me there's Alot going on so come check it out, I'm sure you'll find some deals on just about anything you could think of..anyways let's get to my favorite part, dinner time lol. We all decided to find a nice spot for the entire family to sit and enjoy a nice meal instead of the typical food court selections and we agreed on Garcia's Mexican Restaurant.  Our waitress was pretty friendly and quick with our order including the refills on our drinks.  For under $13 including my drink,  I ordered the shredded beef chimichanga.  The food was pretty outstanding. The portions was descent and was full of flavor and overall my first time experience here was pretty positive so I'll definitely come back again and see what else may fill my cravings ..until next time,I'm out ..feastm0de!!

Ono Hawaiian BBQ

Being thousands of miles away from Hawaii, my home sweet home, and short of getting into the kitchen and creating all my favorite dishes I'm so used to eating, I'm glad that here in Arizona I can get my fix of paradise right in my neck of the woods.  Ono Hawaiian BBQ has 5 locations throughout Arizona and not once have I had a bad experience seeing as I been to there at least a dozen times. The aloha spirit you can definitely feel in their establishment.  Today I went with the simple choice of a local favorite : chicken katsu!  pieces of chicken breaded with Japanese Panko breadcrumbs served with 2 scoops of rice and mac salad. God the only thing that could make my day complete is if I lived near a beach to go to after I eat lol wishful thinking I guess.  The other favorites that's a must if it's your first time is the BBQ chicken(teriyaki ) and the Korean Kal-bi shortribs.  I definitely recommend this place for anyone that wants to try new things and open their minds and mouths to some ono(delicious) food. The prices are very reasonable, around $8 for most meals and the service is always friendly.  Head to the nearest location for yourself and see what you're missing. I promise you, you won't be disappointed

Hawaiian fried saimin (ramen)

I'm not what you would call the typical "male"; I'm not a sports fanatic (unless it's my seahawks lol) I'm not a gear head or obsessed about cars and whatnot but one thing I can do well is definitely cook my ass off. As you will see if you come along with me on my foodie missions and adventures, not only do I love eating, I love cooking as well. I'll teach you this simple recipe of mine that I love making : fried saimin (ramen) it's quick, cheap and most importantly, ono ( delicious) ..enjoy

2 packages ramen noodles
Cut up spam( or any meat of your choice)
Soy sauce
Garlic ( your preference on how much)
Carrots
Green onions ( for ganish and taste)
Salt and pepper

Boil the noodles until its soft. Drain and rinse well to get most of the starch off of it. Let it sit in a strainer after

In a frying pan, fry up your meat and vegetables ( garlic, carrots and green onions) with seasame seed oil or vegetable oil.

Once its browned enough, add in your saimin noodles and mix in soy sauce and seasonings and mix until the noodles are somewhat crisp to your liking

Finally, put it on a plate , garnish it and enjoy
  Prep time:5 mins
Cooking time : approximately 10 mins

Salsitas

Rise and shine.. I had an errand to take care of early this morning before I headed off to work and I needed something to feed the beast in my belly and to quiet my stomach rumblings lol on the south side of Phoenix, amongst pizza joints, and fast food restaurants, I went to my favorite comfort place to eat : Salsitas ( 36 w.southern ave. 602-276-2957) I never had a bad experience at this location, plus the food is amazing and the portions along with the reasonable prices is why I always come back.  For under $10 I got me a platter of eggs, red chilie beef, and rice.  Definitely amazing and I am stuffed as we speak. There is many locations throughout Arizona but by far this the best one I found so far.  Definitely come and check it out, highly recommend in my opinion

Tinta mexicana

So I just got off from work and had to run to the mall to do a few errands. I tell you what,Arizona Mills is pretty large in my opinion, and with all the running around I had to do,I pretty much worked up an appetite. Hmm where to eat is the question? I decided on choosing some Mexican grinds. I'm always in the mood for some steak so I opted out for a carne asada bowl at Tinta Mexicana in the food court. Overall, it wasn't too bad,I'd give it 8.5 out of 10 just because I'm a big eater lol but with the fresh cooked steak, rice and veggies (pico de gallo, cabbage and guacamole) it was a pretty decent meal. My overall experience was good. The service was friendly, the food was fresh and the price was under $11 including a drink with it. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone if they happen to shop at Arizona Mills. Come check it out for yourself
